We believe in a future rooted in Transformative Justice. On June 18, join a global community in creating a 23-hour community dedicated to confronting the legacy of racism in Urban Planning. Although the Thrivance Group will be streaming the event live from Savannah, Georgia, this is a completely virtual event.
What’s happening in our world today illustrates the extent to which our ideas about race and public space are constructed on harmful narratives that can be traced throughout our country’s existence. Last year, more than 8,000 people gathered because they desired to remake urban planning to be more equitable, anti-racist, joy-centered, and reparative for those who’ve been marginalized and harmed by it in the past. This year, join in as we continue to equip ourselves to sustain a movement that seeks a life of dignity and justice for all racialized people–especially in the built environment.
