The NACTO Designing Cities Conference brings together 900 officials, planners, and practitioners to advance the state of transportation in cities.
NACTO’s Designing Cities Conference is the premier forum for policymakers and practitioners working in urban transportation, with city practitioners at its core. Hosted annually in a NACTO member city, Designing Cities brings together 900 participants working at all levels of city government to shift the paradigm for city streets. This conference is highly tailored, interactive, and effective at convening leaders across North America to focus on a defining policy goal: designing, building, and managing streets as places for people. And with street design, the proof is in the pavement; that’s why Designing Cities’ signature WalkShops focus on real projects on the ground in cities, dedicating programming hours to in-depth experiential and real-world learning opportunities.
This conference is NACTO’s peer network in action and the strongest example of NACTO fulfilling its core mission to build a strong network of peers and foster open communication and collaboration between cities.
