Find your place to thrive in shared micromobility.

The shared micromobility industry across North America is embracing inclusion and fostering diverse workplaces that mirror the communities they serve. To amplify the important work being done, the North American Bikeshare and Scootershare Association (NABSA), in partnership with the Better Bike Share Partnership (BBSP), is proud to present Diverse Voices in Shared Micromobility: A Video Series.

The series takes viewers to Guadalajara, Mexico; Hamilton, Canada; and Philadelphia, sharing the personal journeys of individuals working in the micromobility industry and their passion for contributing to this dynamic field, and by extension, their own community. The stories celebrate the diverse perspectives that are shaping the future of shared micromobility.

In addition to this latest video series, NABSA and BBSP also offer a number of resources for industry professionals looking for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging-related content within shared micromobility.

Building a Better Shared Micromobility Industry: Best Practices for More Diverse and Inclusive Workplaces is a comprehensive guide for organizations operating within the shared micromobility industry. This pivotal resource offers invaluable insights into best practices for cultivating a diverse workplace and fostering a culture ingrained with the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Additionally, you can watch a roundtable discussion featuring contributors to the toolkit. NABSA’s Workforce Diversity Wednesdays blog series also highlights individuals making a career in shared micromobility and tells the stories about their path to working in the industry.

BBSP amplifies the voices and stories of individuals driving equity within shared micromobility through our storytelling. Our Transportation Justice Fellowship is a first-of-its-kind program designed specifically for those who identify as people of color working to embed mobility justice in transportation. Led by the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) and open to U.S.-based, early- to mid-career professionals, the fellowship invests in supporting and sustaining the people doing the heavy work to operationalize equity across the transportation sector.
