Basing bike share in community #BBSPchat
Wednesday, March 14th 10am PT / 1pm ET

Hosts: Better Bike Share Partnership @betterbikeshare and Multicultural Communities for Mobility @MCMHandles

Special Guests: Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia @bcgp, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation @BSRC, and PODER @PODERSF

Description:

Multicultural Communities for Mobility recently released a series of 8 videos that each take on a challenging issue in bike share equity — ranging from policing and displacement to access and funding. We are looking at this work and at the experiences of other community-based initiatives to discuss reducing bike share barriers for low-income people, people of color, and other marginalized groups. Save the date, and stay tuned for more info through the #BBSPchat hashtag!

The Better Bike Share Partnership is funded by The JPB Foundation as a collaborative between the City of Philadelphia, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) and the PeopleForBikes Foundation to build equitable and replicable bike share systems.
