Help us continue the conversation on bike share and equity

by April Corbin, PeopleForBikes equity writer

The conversation on equitable bike share is only beginning.

In the course of our work so far with the Better Bike Share Partnership, we have tapped into the existing equity efforts and seen more and more sparks of new interest in the eyes of bike share operators, community-based organizations, cities and advocates across the country. We are continuing these conversations about bike share and equity by hosting a conference tentatively scheduled for June 2016 in Philadelphia.

What will this gathering entail?

We haven’t decided that yet because we want your input and ideas. We want to know what training, workshops, activities or speakers would be most valuable to you and your organizations. We want to know what topics you want to see explored, and what structure you find most productive.

If your thoughts cannot be contained to a survey, please email us at info@betterbikeshare.org.

The Better Bike Share Partnership is a JPB Foundation-funded collaboration between the City of Philadelphia, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) and thePeopleForBikes Foundation to build equitable and replicable bike share systems.
